The annual Mid-South Chapter Christmas luncheon scheduled at the Holiday Inn [Research Park] on Wednesday, December 14, 2011, will showcase an expanded format this year. In addition to the traditional complimentary lunch for Chapter members, there will be two briefings preceding the luncheon. A presentation by Richard Jensen of IdenTrust will commence at 10:30 a.m. Richard Jensen is the ECA Program Manager where he is responsible for working with the DoD and DoD contractors to issue PKI digital credentials as DoD Application and System owners are requiring higher assurance electronic identity to access systems or to sign and submit forms electronically. At 10:45 a.m., Senior Industrial Security Representative Jeannie Russell and Industrial Security Representative Jason Duquette will provide an overview of the recently adopted Performance Matrix program. Both of these presentations should be of considerable interest to NCMS members, FSOs, and security personnel supporting the National Industrial Security Program [NISP]. Also, during the program, several recognitions will be made, including the recipient of the first annual Hamblin-Talley Distinguished Service Award, and the results of the 2012-2013 Chapter Vice-Chairman and Treasurer election will be disclosed.

Don’t forget – this is a complimentary luncheon for Mid-South Chapter members…….

NCMS Midsouth Chapter

NCMS was founded in 1964 by a group of government and industry security classification managers and administrators who recognized the importance of establishing a society, national in scope, to advance the practice of Classification Management as a profession.

Today, the Society has nearly 3,000 members in the United States and overseas including representatives from NATO countries. Within the U.S., members come from the Department of Energy, Department of Defense, Department of State, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Federal Bureau of Investigation, National Security Agency, General Accounting Office--virtually every Federal agency that deals with classification--and from the civilian contractors who work with these agencies. As the Society has grown over the years, its focus has also expanded. NCMS now provides professional development for its members in the field of classification management, information security, personnel security, computer security, operations security (OPSEC), facility security, and technology security.
